O’Doughs Smoked Bagel Strata

Ingredients

  • 2 bags O’Doughs Original Bagels, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt, plain
  • 2-1/2 cups milk
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 4 scallions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup capers, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375ºF.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together yogurt, milk, eggs, cheese, scallions, and capers; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the bagel pieces and stir so that all pieces are covered in the egg mixture; pour into a 9 x 13 baking dish that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes; the top should be golden and slightly puffy.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow to sit for 10 minutes; garnish with smoked salmon, additional capers, and onion.
